Hi, I’m Heidi 👋 — Gilmore-loving, Taylor-listening, Friends-watching, Chiefs (and Yankees… and Giants) fan.
I live for good books, date nights at the movie theater, historical dramas, startup podcasts, and smart comedy. Yes, I’m that girl with a Diet Coke in hand, a new business idea every week, and probably bingeing whatever everyone’s talking about because I’m a little “basic,” and I’ve got major entertainment FOMO.
After nearly 20 years in political marketing, I started feeling like I was fueling the divide more than the change that first pulled me in. I wanted to create something that did the opposite — something that connected people again.
And what’s easier to connect over than the team we love, the character we don’t, or the podcast that inspired us?
The idea for Consumed started during one of my late-night Goodreads scrolls (my favorite escape from the outrage of social media). I loved it, but so much was missing. What about all the other entertainment we love? The shows we binge, the podcasts we quote, the songs, the games, the predictions, the trivia?
Why couldn’t it all live in one place — and be more interactive, social, and fun?
So I taught myself how to build it. No team. No VC funding. Just me, too much caffeine, too many open tabs, and feedback from friends who kept me going.
Now, Consumed is that space — where entertainment brings people back together. Where the only outrage you’ll feel is over the character who let you down, the trivia game you just lost, or the prediction you missed.
Connect through friendly competition, a shared recommendation, or that one obscure interest you didn’t know anyone else had. Play. Predict. Connect. Get Consumed.
